What really matters!!!
It is not who we SAY we are and what we DO that defines who
we are. PROFESSING Christ and DOING good deeds do not make us a Christian.
In light of eternity, it is who we truly ARE that really
matters. SAYING we are a Christian, Baptist…. or DOING things that Christians
do will not guarantee us eternal life. In fact, what others SAY about us will
not save us, nor condemn us either.
What matters is to BE a Christian. What matters is who JESUS
SAYS WE ARE. What matters is BEING SAVED BY GOD’S SOVEREIGN GRACE WHEN GOD
IMPARTS FAITH INTO OUR HEART. What matters is BEING a child of God and a
follower of Christ.
I believe instead of focusing on always SAYING or DOING the
right thing, we should focus on BEING who God wants us to be. Then all the rest
will follow. We can only do that if we are saved by God’s grace. May the Lord strengthen
us and empower us to BE true followers of Christ in all things!
EPHESIANS 2:8-10 FOR
BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH; AND THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES: IT IS THE GIFT
OF GOD:
NOT OF WORKS, LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST.
FOR WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS UNTO
GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD HATH BEFORE ORDAINED THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.
