A Thought From our Pastor:
Believing The Truth. “And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (24) Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: (25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” Romans 1:23-25
As we ponder our hearts on these scriptures, let us all think about truth. Truth is something that is very hard to find in the Twenty-First Century, almost everything said or done today is a lie, phony, or just plain untruth. If you look-up the word “truth” in the scriptures you will find it means - stability, figuratively certainty, trustworthiness, and sure -. But to us what is truth, and where do we find it? How about church, is your church teaching truth, no I am not talking about what they say is truth, but real truth. Well let’s see if we can figure it out. We know that the bible is truth, and we know that Jesus is truth because the Bible tells us He is. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 and we know that the bible is truth because it is the absolute word of God, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16 We know that the writers of the bible were inspired because the bible tells us they were. If we do not believe God, the bible, and Jesus Christ then we have absolutely nothing to trust to be truth. God tells us that mankind are sinners, liars, corrupted, and enemies of God, Jesus, and the bible. Since mankind are corruptible and totally depraved they have nothing in common with God, fleshly or spiritually. That means mankind is doomed for eternal hell and there is nothing that can change them, not even themselves. God is clear that only He, and He alone can change the Ethiopians skin color, the leopard’s spots, or the sinner and hater of God that mankind is. Unless God change a sinner, they will die a sinner at enmity with God. “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:44 The only truth found on the face of the earth is in the bible, and the men speaking the messages of God from the pulpits. But, even at that it is limited to a small few. How do you know if your pastor is preaching the word of God in truth, study the scriptures. Jesus said of the scriptures, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39 While many search for the truth of the scriptures, they cannot find it, because they are not of God. Since they are not of God they change God’s truth into a lie and preach hearsay rather than truth. You will find in this evil, corrupt, godless world it is easier to preach a lie than the truth. This is why, men love a lie more than the truth, and therefore people will flock to a false hope in themselves, rather than a real hope in Jesus Christ. However, the saddest part of it all is they change Gods truth into a lie and serve the lie as truth. But, this is very sad “…God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts…” in other words God is not going to change them, ever. Therefore, it is up to you to figure out what is truth and what is the lie of Satan, and does your church teach truth or a lie. If you are blessed to figure it out then follow the truth, it is still being taught. Ask yourself when listening to your Pastor, is this the bible or is this a lie? To many Preachers teach false doctrine, lies, untruths and call them truth. They read words, phrases, and lies into the scriptures that are not there. They will teach you doctrine that is man’s doctrine and not Gods. Beware, your eternal soul may burn forever and ever. Folks, the truth is hard to find, and only God will show it to you. So many believe lies because it sounds good to the lost sinner, the world, and Satan. Be careful, study the word of God, and believe what it says. Just allow the scriptures to teach you and you will know the truth, you will know the real Jesus Christ our Saviour. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; (32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (36) If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:31-32, 36

We dwell within the palm of God's hand!By Charles Spurgeon
"My times are in Your hand!" Psalm 31:15
Not only are we, ourselves, in the hand of the Lord — but all that surrounds us is in His hand! Our times make up a kind of atmosphere of existence — and all of this is under His divine arrangement.
We dwell within the palm of God's hand! We are absolutely at His disposal — and all our circumstances are arranged by Him in all their details. We are comforted to have it so!
When one knows that his times are in God's hands — he would not change places with a king! No, nor even with an angel!

Psalms 90:1-6,
“A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations...Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God...Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men...For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night...Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up...In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. When one knows that his times are in God's hands — he would not change places with a king! No, nor even with an angel!...The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”

A Short Thought:By Thomas Brooks!
Christian! Consider that the trials and troubles, the calamities and miseries, the crosses and losses that you meet with in this world — are all the Hell that ever you shall have!
