A Thought From Our Pastor:

The world shall wax worse and worse!
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13 

God was bold when He said through the apostle Paul "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing..." Romans 7:18 because man thinks he is good and wonderful and smart, however in man is no good thing outside of Jesus Christ. Men simply are waxing worse and worse everyday. Those that hope the world will get better can stop hoping. God never intended this world to get better because He has predetermined for it to get worse. Christians and Religionist have for years attempted to bring about a better, more godly world to live in, however God never told us to change the world but simply to occupy in it. Luke 19:13 "...Occupy till I come." Which means to do business with; but God never told us to convert the world. There is no doubt that the return of Jesus is coming soon. All signs are pointing in that direction. This world we live in, this nation that we are members of, is acting more and more like Satan than God everyday. I was thinking last week after some of the Supreme Courts decisions of how ungodly they were, how they spit in Gods face again and again. I know they believe they are the Supreme authority but they are not, God is. I have watched over the past 30 years or so America fall more and more into the pits of sin and then rejoice in it. I have seen America become more and more haters of God and Gods children. God said in 2 Timothy 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." That we would suffer great persecution for Christ. Folks we are beginning to see greater and greater persecution. This reminds me of the two witnesses in the tribulation period; when they are finally killed the world treats the occasion like Christmas.  Revelation 11:10 “And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.” This shows the amount of hatred the world has for God. We are seeing the front part of that hatred today. I believe if the Lord allows us to live on this earth long enough that it will become illegal to worship God or to own a bible. We live in a time of demonization (that is when something or someone is turned into a demon or make demonlike.) which goes back to the early 1990’s when one political party demonized the other party. They also demonized people that opposed them. It is still alive and well today except most of the news media also helps in it. This is what they are doing to Christians and churches today, they are demonizing what they believe and teach as though it is wrong, dirty, or embarrassing to be a Christian that disagrees with them. This is (I believe) how they will outlaw Christianity in America through demonization of it. The hatred just keeps growing. We as Christians need to be in much prayer for one another and the Lord’s churches. God is going to greatly punish this world for her sins and that punishment is called the tribulation period and eternal hell.    

For Our Weekly  Meditation:

None Like Him In The Earth
“And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” (Job 1:8)

It is said that Job’s name means, “hated; the persecuted one.”  Through the Scriptures we are made aware that it was not God hating or persecuting Job.  It was definitely Satan that hated him so.  But, just why did Satan pour out his indignation on Job so dreadfully?  Of what was Job guilty?  The answer is that he was perfect, upright, reverentially feared God, and escheweth evil. 

The word “perfect”, as used in this passage, means to be morally and ethically pure; “upright” is also translated “righteous”; “escheweth” has the idea of departing from or separating from.  Hence, the reason of such hatred and persecution from Satan was that Job lived a life of purity, godliness, consecration in holiness unto the Almighty God of the heavens and the earth.  Job was the embodiment of all that the Father purposes for all of His servants. 

This was the proverbial “pat-on-the-back” from God.  Job was showcased before Satan as the best of the best among the sons of God.  It is difficult to envision that of all mankind upon the face of the earth there was one that stood heads and shoulders above all the rest.  Humanly speaking, Job was the unshakeable delight and sparkling jewel of God’s treasury.  He was a twinkle in God’s eye, because Job tenaciously absorbed himself in pure holiness of God.  Few have ever concertedly purposed to please God to the uttermost. 

Perhaps, if we were not so fearful of hate and persecution, we too would strive to be a sparkling jewel or a twinkle in our Heavenly Father’s eye.  So very many of the joys of God have we forfeited, because we do not separate from the evil of this world and seek continuous purification through the blood and the Spirit.  May we be ever so mindful of what breed of servant sparkles in the hand of the Living God.  May our faith in the Father exceed our feeble abilities!

  give edge to sermons,

  and point to advice,

  and power to rebukes,

  and can cast down the high walls of sinful hearts!

It is not better preaching, and finer writing that is needed in this day — but more of the presence of the Holy Spirit!
