The LORD Is Great!

From the Pastor: Dr. M. J. Seymour, Sr.
“Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.” (Ps. 96:2-5)
Man created designer gods come and go, and they are as fleeting as the erratic imaginations of reprobated men. They create images that cater their demented fancies and lusts as natural brute beast. No hope brings desperation and that conjured up out of desperation gives birth to demons of hell masquerading as gods of ecstasy.
Thanks be unto the living LORD, Creator of the heavens and the earth, we have hope beyond measure! We have no need to fabricate some imaginary god scraped out of some hallucination of men’s evil minds. We have not created our God; praise His Name, our God has created us. Therefore, sing ye redeemed of the LORD; sing praises unto His Holy Name!!! Let not a day fade away without the sacrifices of thanksgiving leaving our lips heaven bound. Sing, O Brethren, Sing of His wondrous salvation through the blood of His blessed son Jesus! Fill His ears with sweet melodies of Hallelujahs!
With joy unspeakable speak aloud of His marvelous glory. It is written: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,” full of grace and truth.” (Jn. 1:14) O, the all-consuming glory of the Living God of all creation as He plunges my sins into the blood of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. We need no other god, for what piece of wood, stone, or imagination could be sufficient to this matchless grace. Who could soar us upward on the Spirit’s wings in the majesty of white robes of righteousness? None but Thee, O LORD, none but Thee! May our tongues cleave to the roof of our mouths if our hearts and lips forget the graciousness of our God, and if we cease to praise Him for so great a salvation!
