A Thought From our Pastor:
The Works Of Gods Hands Are Truth.Psalms 111:7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
In order to properly understand this verse we must first define the word "verity" which means - stability; figuratively certainty, truth, trustworthiness - you can also add the words establishment, faithful, right, sure, to this definition. God is truth, that is He cannot lie and therefore everything connected with Him is truth. Jesus Christ is truth, because He is the Son of the most High God. John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." Jesus Christ was not born with truth but full of truth. The word full means - completely covered - with truth, meaning there was nothing but truth about Him. The Bible declares in Titus 1:2 "... which God, that cannot lie..." this is what we are talking about. Therefore, we must all understand that whatever God does is absolutely with truth according to what truth is, and that makes them certain, stable, trustworthy, faithful, and right. We are not a counsel to God judging what is right or wrong, we are simply clay in the hands of the potter accepting whatever He chooses to do. Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 32:4 "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." The word perfect here describes His words as entire, integrity, truth, sound, without spot, undefiled, uprightly, and whole. Therefore we must look at the works of God as perfect, lacking and needing nothing, understanding that Truth has done them. We do not need to figure out God or try to understand God in what He is doing because He is doing all things according to His grace and truth but most of all according to His will. Some want to believe that God is doing things as we want Him to do them, but that could not be farther from the truth. If that were true then so many Christians would not have died for the Lord. Christians would be killed in a school just for being a Christian. Christians would not be sick, poor, or needing anything. But the facts are all this things affect us in life because God saw to it for us all to go through these things. We pray our will to God, but God does only His will. Since God has predestinated, ordained, ordered, and elected then our life is not a choice but the predetermined will of God. Christians sometimes believe they are more important than they are, but we are not. However with all this being said, we are the children of God and He loves us also with "verity love" and therefore we are not going to suffer the wrath of God, nor the unpleasant thing of God like being cast out, or being sent to eternal hell fire. And God has promised to work all things for our good. Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." and here is another promise from our "Verity God" 2 Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." Beloved, know and believe the God we serve and serving Him will be more of a blessing. Understand the truth about God and accepting the things that happen in life will be easier. |
A Thought For Your Week!
Why, then, these fears? Why this distrust?
Jesus has all the treasures of the everlasting covenant, all the fullness of the Godhead, all the resources of the universe — in His keeping, and at His disposal!
Look at the starry sky — Jesus strewed it with its jewelry.
Look at that enchanting landscape — Jesus enameled it with its loveliness.
Look at that cloud-capped mountain — Jesus reared it.
Look at that beauteous lily — Jesus painted it.
Look at that soaring bird — Jesus feeds it.
He, with whom is all this strength and beauty — is your Brother! Are you not better and dearer to Him than these? He has loved and chosen you from all eternity, ransomed you with His blood, and inhabited you by His Spirit. Why, then, these fears? Why this distrust? All He requires of you is to bring . . .
your emptiness — to His fullness;
your grief — to His sympathy;
your confusion — to His unerring wisdom;
your temptations and trials — to His sheltering wing.
Spread your case before Him in the humble confidence of a child. Listen to His words, "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish — ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand!" John 10:28

Thought To Think About!
I want to be a more serious-minded Christian, more detached from this world, more ready for heaven than I have ever been in my whole life. I would rather stand and have everybody my enemy — than to go along with the crowd to destruction!
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it!" Matthew 7:13-14!"

It is now common practice in most evangelical churches to offer the people, especially the young people, a maximum of entertainment and a minimum of serious instruction. It is scarcely possible in most places to get anyone to attend a meeting, where the only attraction is God. One can only conclude that God's professed children are bored with Him, for they must be wooed to meeting with a stick of striped candy, in the form of religious movies, games and refreshments.
