From Our Pastor:
The
Earth And Heavens Shall Be Burned Up.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” 2 Peter 3:10
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” 2 Peter 3:10
While the politicians in the world want to talk
about global warming I would like to talk about the real reason the world
will one day get so warm that it will burn up. It may be getting warmer but
it is not because of global warming but it is getting closer to the coming of
Jesus Christ and that great day of God’s judgment on this earth. God
has promised that Jesus will return, there will then be seven years of
tribulation, then there will be a thousand year reign by Jesus Christ as King
over this earth and then God will destroy this earth and everything on it. It
will be “melted” , that is dissolved, or totally destroyed.
Nothing will survive because everything on this earth is tainted by mans sin.
Everything man has built in the last six thousand or so years will absolutely
be melted with heat. 2 Peter 3:7 “But the heavens and the earth, which
are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the
day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” It is also concluded
that this total destruction will include something more than the earth it will
also include the “heavens” that is the heavens below heaven
itself. Man has also polluted it with their sinful presence. Everything and
everywhere man has been must be and will be totally destroyed with fire from
heaven. Peter went on to say in verse 12 “Looking for and hasting unto
the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be
dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?” that we were
“Looking for” it and that we are “hasting unto the coming
of the day of God” that is believers are ready and in a hurry for it to
happen. Why wouldn’t we be? All the elect of God will be saved
“…not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance.” Verse 9 therefore why would we believers desire a delay?
God told us not to attach ourselves to this world or the things of it. This
is why it will be destroyed. This is why we cannot take it with us, it is
sinful and must be destroyed. 1 John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither
the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the
Father is not in him.” Those that do not love this world or the things
of it are “hasting unto the coming of the day of God” because we
will all rejoice to see God destroy it all. We as believers in Christ Jesus
and children of God will love this day. We will not be weeping for the lost
not even our loved ones because God will wipe away all tears and cause us all
to rejoice in His glorious judgment on sin. Amen! And I shout and pray always
“…Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” Revelation 22:20
For Our Weekly Meditation:
No
Darkness At All
It is written: The Apostle John wrote, “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with an-other, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (I Jn. 1:5-7)
It blesses the heart to know that we serve the God
of the light and not the god of the darkness. There is something about being
in the light that gives warmth and peace to the innermost heart. Knowing the
blood of Jesus has cleansed even all the hidden dark crevasses of guilt and
shame and replaced the darkness with the light of His presence gives an
indescribable release of freedom and peace. It makes one want to dance
barefoot upon the green pastures of His love and in the shining light of His
grace. It makes one want to pause life and smell the sweetness of the
tulips!
Please understand, a true believer having the birth
of the new creature within is not just a figure of speech. There is a new
creation born out of the sacrificial blood of the Lamb and is awakened in the
light of the Eternal, a new life made partaker of God’s divine nature.
One who is born of God lives in the light and by the light. It is not a
choice or a decision. It is a natural existence for the new spirit creature.
He lives, breathes, and exists in the Light because of Who he is, a child of
God. The new creature is not comfortable with the darkness; he is like a
fish out of the water. He is alive in the light of His righteousness and
abhors the sins of the god of the darkness.
If one says he has fellowship with God,
“saved, redeemed, born again, etc.,” and walks in the darkness of
sin, the Word of God clearly states he is a liar and does not the truth.
There are many pretenders in the world who have a false hope of salvation and
eternal life. They have no fellowship with the God of the light. They love
darkness because their hearts and deeds are evil. There is no light in them,
and the blood of Jesus Christ has not cleansed them, and they abide in the
darkness. They love the darkness because they are of the darkness; if they
were of the Light they would live of the Light

Quote For The
Week!
Prayer is not so much an act as it is an
attitude—an attitude of dependency, dependency upon God.
