From Our Pastor:

“Christians Ought To Talk things Out”

As Christians we must always remember that we are all the children of God through Jesus Christ our Mediator. We were all sinners, and are all saved by the same death, burial, and resurrection of the same Saviour. The same glorious blood washes away all our sins. We are all brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. We all worship the same God, and the very same Savior in Jesus Christ. If you are members in the same church, then you are part of the Lord’s body and should be in unity functioning as one. We all must always remember that “we are what we are by God’s grace”. We are always (as good Christians) putting other believers and church members before ourselves. We are also to examine ourselves to see if we are living up to the scriptures and not overlooking what it is we ought to be doing. As a Christian and a church member are you properly acting as God has instructed us. The greatest task for a church member and as a believer in Jesus Christ is to have the proper love for your fellow member. We are not just members of a church, we are members of a body, and we are not just members of a body, we are members of Christ body. Please understand that being members of Jesus Christ body shows us a more important status in life. I said all that to say this, if Christians are angry with one another then we are dysfunctional. God said in Luke 17:3 – 4 “Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. (4) And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.” The Lord instructed us to talk to one another, work things out so that repentance is a result, and then if your brother fail to listen then get some other brethren, then if he neglects to hear all of you then take the issue before the church. Working out forgiveness keeps peace in the family or the church. If the member is a member of another church, then contact their Pastor. The goal in every event is forgiveness and peace in the family of God. However, the main burden is on us as Christians, it is our job to go to them, tell them the issue and pray that God solves the issue. I am afraid that Christians get their feelings hurt and refuse to talk things out. I am afraid that this happens way too often. Folks, the burden to make things right is on us, the Lord said, “if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault” He did not say to wait for the transgressor to come to you, He said go to them and work it out. Only if then he neglects to listen then get others to make sure everything is understood and report it to the church. It is at this point the burden is on the transgressor. If a Christian allows the transgressor to fail in his responsibility then the sin becomes yours. I was taught to me in a safety driving class that if you are dealing with a bad driver and you allow the bad driver to cause you to do things you should not do, then you become the bad driver. The same thought is in this lesson, if you allow the transgressor to cause you to do the wrong thing then you might do things that causes you to sin. This would make you the transgressor in doing the wrong things. God set these commands up to benefit us, and to allow us to walk closely with Him and to teach us the right and proper walk in life. As Believers we are not allowed to dislike other Christians, and we are certainly not allowed to hate them. If they are believers that you do not like, that you do not want to be friends with, or that you just do not want to be around, what is wrong. If we are always doing our job as Christians, then we should get along with all other believers. The fact that they might not agree with you on everything is not an excuse not to like them. If another believer is out of fellowship in your church or another church then you have an excuse, because different biblical rules apply. Folks, lets talk to one another, things are not always what they seem, and many times another Believer might not even know what the issue is. Being a good Christian involves maintain yourself, your attitude, thinking and praying before you act. The burden is on us to try to work out things with other believers and church members. If you cannot work it out, and you have done all you can, then the burden is on them.   Proverbs 25:8 - 10 “Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame. (9) Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another: (10) Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.”

This I cannot understand
By: Author Unknown

The grace of God is the unhindered, wondrous, boundless love of His heart, poured out upon His people in a countless variety of ways, without stint or measure—not according to our deserving, but according to His infinite heart of love! This I cannot understand—so unfathomable are its heights and depths! God's love is infinitely tender, and self-sacrificing, and devoted, and patient, and eager to lavish its best of gifts and blessings, upon the objects of His love.
Put together all the tenderest love you know of, the deepest love you have ever felt, and the strongest love that has ever been poured out upon you—and heap upon it all the love of all the human hearts in the world, and then multiply it by infinity—and you will begin, perhaps, to have some faint glimpse of the love and grace of God towards His people!

“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:19
