But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For
God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus
Christ, (1 Thessalonians 5:8-9)
By the gracious salvation in Christ, we are separated from
the dark as His light shines through us. This separation changes our
destination from eternal condemnation to everlasting joy and peace. This
magnificent hope for all followers of Christ causes us to rejoice in the
glorious splendour of His majesty.
