Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.
(Psalms 136:25)
God's ever-enduring lovingkindness is one of the most beautiful jewels
in that great treasure trove of Christian blessing. If not for the
promise of his Father's unquenchable love, the believer would have none
of the earthly rest for his soul that is even now his great privilege.
By the knowledge that God's love is forever granted the child of faith,
that same child may take blissful comfort that his Lord shall never
forsake him, shall never rescind the promise of life eternal, and shall
never withhold the strength needed for perseverance in times of trial.
Amen and amen!
