What salvation is not?
It is not making a decision. It is not
praying a sinner’s prayer. It is not reformation. It is not baptism. It is not
of works. It is not self-righteousness. It is not of us.
What is it then?
It is of the Lord. It is a free gift
of God. A God-given faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ at
Calvary.
EPHESIANS 2:8-10
FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH; AND THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES: IT
IS THE GIFT OF GOD:
NOT OF WORKS, LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST.
FOR WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS UNTO
GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD HATH BEFORE ORDAINED THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.
