COLOSSIANS 2:6-7 AS YE
HAVE THEREFORE RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS THE LORD, SO WALK YE IN HIM:
ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN HIM, AND STABLISHED IN THE FAITH,
AS YE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT, ABOUNDING THEREIN WITH THANKSGIVING.
We are saved by a God-given faith in Christ, trusting He
paid the full price for our sins at Calvary by His grace and mercy. So simple!
Too easy! Yet, it is all that is required and that will save us. Only the
regenerated sinner can walk that walk. Our human depraved nature rebels about
the gospel and the unbeliever’s pride gets in the way and wants to add works,
religion, self-righteousness….
But how sweet and how blessed we are when we walk this
journey of faith in complete dependence upon God’s grace and by trusting Him
just like when He saved us. There is nothing else and nothing more we can do!
