A Thought From Our Pastor::
Many People Will Be Disappointed When Death Comes. “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:8
God says that if one is not saved, if one has not been washed in the sin cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, if one has not been delivered to the cross of Jesus Christ for salvation, then they will not ever do anything to please God. It is sad to think that so many good moral people, people who spent most of their life attempting to worship and glorify God will be told in judgment "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23 These are they whom will stand in judgment before Jesus Christ who sits on the great white throne to judge the lost. As they plead their cases before Christ Jesus. They will learn at this time that their works really were nothing and non-pleasing to God. Therefore, one might ask who are in the flesh; all who do not believe in their heart that Jesus Christ is their Saviour. It is not what you believe in your mind but what you believe in your inner person or in your heart. We see Jesus explain this in detail to Nicodemus in John chapter three where multiple time Jesus told this ruler of the Jews that if he did not believe in Jesus as Saviour he would not see nor enter the kingdom of God. Jesus also told us multiple times in John chapter 10 that He is the door and if we do not enter through Him we will not get to heaven. "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:9 Jesus even went as far to say that those who attempt to enter another way is a thief and a robber. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." John 10:1 They are a thief in that they are attempting to steal something that is not theirs, and a robber in that they are attempting to rob Christ Jesus of His due glory. See if one attempts to enter heaven through works, baptism, by church affiliation, by religion affiliation of any sort, or by any other way, they are attempting to rob Christ Jesus of His glory because it is His glory to save sinners from eternal damnation. I know that people learn from men that they call Pastors that there are other means of salvation outside of Christ but what they teach is not of God, they are not of God. They are mislead and are misleading their hearers, what they teach is not of God but is of another. God said it this way in Isaiah 56:9 - 12 "All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. (10) His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. (11.) Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. (12) Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant." Folks, eternity is never ending, the fires of hell are hot, painful, and punishing, so you might search the scriptures to see what God has said exactly before you die and open your eyes in the eternal lake of fire. Because if you die in the flesh and you have not been born of the Holy Spirit and washed in the blood of Jesus Christ then you will not see nor enter the kingdom of God. The Lord said "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39 Don’t put your eternal state in the hands of a man who may not even be of God, search Gods word and put your faith in, and in what it says. Don’t be a thief or robber but enter by the door. There are so many morally good people who think they are pleasing God but are not. They will stand in judgment pleading to the Lord what they have done but it will all be fruitless when Jesus opens the Book of the Lamb and their name is not written and He says depart, I never knew you. Because He is Lord and does not know thief’s and robbers. "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed." John 6:27
A Though For Your Bible Study:
Peace, peace!They dress the wound of My people as though it were not serious. "Peace, peace!" they say, when there is no peace. Jeremiah 8:11
How Jeremiah testifies against those prophets who prophesy smooth things—who prophesy deceits—who know not the way of the Lord, nor have walked in His counsel.
There is no greater mark of false ministers given in the word of truth, than healing the wound of God's people slightly, saying, "Peace, peace!" when there is no peace.
If we carefully read the book of Jeremiah, we shall see that the great sin and the chief deception of all the false prophets who sprang up in scores during the period of his ministry, was to build up the people in a false hope—to assure them that they had no reason to fear the judgments of God—that the Lord would not execute against them what He threatened. They therefore hardened the people in sin and disobedience, led them to trifle with and despise the judgments of God, and built them up in a false confidence that, because they were the people of God by external profession, they were His also by regenerating grace.
If our eyes were fully open to see the effect of the false teaching of our day, we would see it equally dishonoring to God—and pregnant with equally awful consequences.
We would see hundreds of dead professors built up without a foundation of repentance toward God. We would see sin made a little matter of—the awful anger of the Almighty against it, and His dreadful indignation against transgressors passed by as a thing of little importance. We would see the strait and narrow path widened out in all directions—and the distinguishing truths of the gospel beaten down and amalgamated with the grossest errors.
