A Thought For The Week: :
Be sure to shut the door!"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." 1 Corinthians 6:20
It is as impossible to live and prosper spiritually without prayer — as it is to live and prosper physically without food. Those who enjoy a close walk with God and have power with Him — are those who pray. Natural abilities and intellect can never supply any lack in spirituality. Unless you are spiritual — you are of but little use to God; and to be spiritual — you must live much in prayer.
It is not those who are on their knees the oftenest or the longest — who do the most praying. Some may pray more real prayer in one hour — than others in two or three hours. Too many people leave the door open. Prayer that feeds the soul, must be offered with the door shut. "But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret."
God is in secret. He is hidden from the world. You can never reach God in your prayers — unless you shut out the world. Shutting the door means something more than closing the door of your literal closet. People may enter the literal closet and close the door — and yet have the world in their hearts and thoughts! Such have not closed the door, in the true sense.
Even in the public assembly you must enter your closet when you pray, and shut the door — or your prayers avail not with God. You must talk from your heart — to the heart of God.
There is a blessing in such praying; there is a joy that cannot be told. Such prayer feeds the soul upon the divine life, and lifts us into realms of holiness and happiness. Thank God for the sweet privilege of secret communion with Him.
O beloved, when you pray, enter into your closet — and be sure to shut the door!

For Our Weekly Meditation:
Old Heads On Young Shoulders
Let us settle it in our minds, that grace must have a beginning in every believer's heart; and that we have no right to say a person has no grace, because it does not come to full ripeness at once. We do not expect a child to do the work of a full-grown man — though he may one day, if he lives long enough. Just so, we must not expect a new Christian to show the faith, and love, and knowledge of an old soldier of the cross. He may become a mighty champion of the truth by and by. But at first we must give him time. There is great need of wisdom in dealing with all young disciples.
Kindness, and patience, and gentleness, are of the first importance. We must not try to pour in the new wine too quickly, or it will run over. We must take them by the hand and lead them on gently. We must beware of frightening, or hurrying them, or pressing them on too fast. If they have only got hold of the main principles of the Gospel — let us not set them down as godless, because of a few lesser matters. We must bear with much weakness and infirmity — and not expect to find old heads on young shoulders, or ripe Christian experience in those who are only babes.

A Thought From Our Pastor :
Death Or Life
"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15:22
It is a fact that every person in the world, or has been in the world, or will ever be in the world will be born with dead spirits. Everyone born (except Christ) was born to death and many will remain spiritually dead until they physically die and then they will wake in hell. There are so many untruths in the religionist world; they have turned Gods truths into lies. Folks, it does not matter who you love in the ministry, who you follow as far as religion goes, the only truth and fact is Gods word. People twist and turn Gods word in many directions, but a lie is still a lie. They can demonize the truth all they want to but the truth will always be the truth. I ask you to listen to the word, listen to the truth, and in it you will find true salvation. The Lord Jesus said "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39 Folks, listen to preachers and you will go to hell, listen to logic and you will go to hell, follow family tradition and you will go to hell, but listen to Christ Jesus and you will never die again but will live through all eternity. There is no other way into heaven, not of works, baptism, or any other way. The bottom line is this, in Adam we all die and in Christ we all shall be made alive, no more or less. I know that the lies of preachers and the great philosophers in the world sound convincing but they are lies, all lies. The scriptures cannot be any clearer, that salvation is in none other than Christ Jesus himself. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12 Now that is not just a person's name, but anything, works, baptism, church membership, or etc, etc, etc. How many times has God directly told us that salvation is not of works? Repeatedly He testifies that works is not a part of salvation, but preachers just keep the lies coming. There is not the slightest hint in the scriptures that says salvation is in anything or anyone but Christ. "Not of works..." Ephesians 2:9, "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight..." Romans 3:20, please folks just listen to the scriptures, they are they that will all ways be truthful. God said "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar..." Romans 3:4 Who do you believe God or your preacher, God or your fleshly thinking, death of life?
