A Thought From Our Pastor :
Hiding From God!"And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden...And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?...And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself....And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?" Genesis 3:8 - 11
Why do people think they can hide from God? Adam and Eve sinned against God, then hid from God, and then lied to God. One sin always leads to another. We need to always remember that God is Omniscience, which means - having infinite knowledge - which means God has unlimited knowledge or to put it very simple God knows everything and every detail of everything. He knows your heart and every thought of your mind. God knows before you think something that you are going to think it. God knows the full day of your life tomorrow and everyday on before it gets here. In addition, as Christians, we know these things; I believe Adam and Eve knew these things. Moreover, here we see them sinning and then hiding from God. A Christian can hide from their Pastor, the church membership, friends, and family, but from God it is impossible because your life is an open book. Please be assured that there is nothing one has done or will ever do that God does not see and know. Lie to whomever you choose, but to God your life is an open book. God said, "But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out." Numbers 32:23 because you cannot hide from God. We, as Adam often forget just how open our lives is before God and that even though we might try, there is no hiding anything from our great God. The Psalmist reminds us, "Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance." Psalms 90:8 be sure your sins are not as hid as you might think. Sin separated Adam, Eve, and God. God hates sin as well as an unsaved sinner. If you will remember the story God kicked them out of the garden and it dried up and it died because Adam and Eve was no longer there to tend to it. God has never been clearer on the subject of sin; it builds space between the Christian and God. God promised to never leave us nor will He ever forsake us, however He will build space between them that continue in sin. The Lord said in1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." A Christian will never loose the glorious gift of God in Christ which is salvation but fellowship and blessings can be lost. If we are going to fellowship with God, then walk in light and remember there is no darkness with God. Do not allow you sins to build a wall between your fellowship with God and never think that God does not see your sins. Isaiah said in Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." Don't be like Israel and loose your fear of God to the point you believe that the only ones you have to fear is your church, family, and friends, you better fear the One who knows and hears everything.

A Thought For The Week: :
Praying For Boldness To Speak“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” (Eph. 6:19-20) “And now, Lord, behold their threatening: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word. …and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” (Acts 4:29, 31)
Untold millions cannot even begin to fathom the beautiful sweet mystery of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. For two thousand years countless multitudes have fallen into the eternal abyss eternally condemned because they could not and were not willing to see and hear the infinite loveliness of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord of Glory. The pearl of great price was deemed a worthless fantasy, for their self–inflicted ignorance was empowered and consumed by the lusts of their brutish natures. What a difference it would have made if the wisdom of men could have been washed away by the wisdom of God in the sweet mystery of the Gospel! They had ears to hear, but they would not listen.
Are not many of us who possess intimately that precious knowledge of the wondrous good news of salvation purchased in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lamb of God found with much blood of the condemned on our hands before God? Are we not frequently guilty of hoarding the treasures of the Gospel mystery? Brethren, it ought not to be so! It is a blatant neglect of our duty!
We need the power of the Holy Spirit upon us that with much courage and boldness we may speak forth the riches of the Father’s mercies and grace sent from His bosom in the body of Jesus the Christ. Fly to the prayer closets, Brethren! Cry unto the Father for the courage and the boldness to proclaim and to shine abroad the knowledge of the Pearl of Great Price. Are we ashamed of our glorious salvation? Do we not burn within to speak out boldly?

Quote For The Week;
"We need to re-study our Bibles, and learn what real Christianity is--how holy, how heavenly, how spiritual, how loving, how morally and socially excellent a matter it is. What separation from the world, what devoutness, what intense earnestness, what conscientiousness, what enlarged benevolence, what unselfishness, what zealous activity, what unearthliness, what seeds of celestial virtue--our profession of godliness implies." - John Angell James
