From Our Pastor:
Love
Not This World Or The Things In It!
"Love not the
world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world, the
lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of
the Father, but is of the world." 1 John 2:15 – 16
If our love is for God then it cannot be for this
world. There are certain things in life that that will harm our relationship
with God and loving this world or the things of it is at enmity with God. Let
us not forget that this world and the system of it is controlled by Satan the
great liar and deceiver. He took it in the garden of Eden with the assistance
of Adam and Eve. The Lord has declared over and over that it will only wax
worse and worse. Until the Battle of Armageddon when the Lord Jesus Christ
shall defeat and take control back will it only then get better. Then He
shall rule it with the rod of iron and force the evil people of this world to
do good. For one thousand years people of this earth will be forced (against
their will) to do good. People that are not saved hate God and are at enmity
with Him, they will never surrender to His blessed will unless made too.
Everything in this world is evil, and anti God. Even the religions of this
world who claim to love and serve God are against Him. The only people who
love and serve God are His blessed churches of truth and Christians. People
we all need to understand that we either serve God or we serve this world and
if we serve this world we can never serve God because one will cause you to
hate the other. We (as Christians) are weak to this old fleshly nature and it
is a fight not to be attracted to the things of this world but we must work
at it. Temptations on every corner, on the job, at the store, everywhere we
go in this world are temptations. We must all fight back the lust of the old
man and live with the new nature. Paul warns us in Romans 12:2 “And be
not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will
of God.” The word “conformed” means - to fashion alike
– Christians are different and to surrender to the things of this world
is to conform to it. The styles of the world, all the tattoos, low rider
pants, and etc. Just because a religious institution allows it does not mean
God allows it. Our Christian children need the most prayer of all. Our
schools are infested with ungodliness, educators are by vas majority liberal
and lost and very worldly. They are haters of God and the things pertaining
to God and consider Christian children as brain washed zombies of their hate
monger parents. We need to pray for them because it is hard to be different
and to be made fun of all the time by children taught by influence and by
nature to be God haters. Children, you as Christians are to refrain from the
love of the things of this world and are required to follow the Lord at all
cost. I know it is hard being different but your difference is both a witness
about God and a glory to God. Let us all remember as Christians we are
closest to God when we are walking with Him. Don’t love the thing of
this world because they are anti God and I know as Christians whether
children or adults we never want to be anti God. Please pray for one another
that we all stand and walk with God and not with this world.
For Our Weekly Meditation:
The
Grace of Giving
It is written: “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.” (Mal. 3:8)
It is written: “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.” (Mal. 3:8)
I am not one who harps on the subject of
“giving your money.” I certainly do not believe in begging folks
to fulfill their responsibility and duty of returning to God tithes and
offering, which belong to Him. God is not a beggar, and He certainly is not
held hostage to the fickle-ness of man. God graciously grants each believer
the blessed privi-lege of sharing in His kingdom work through tithes and
offerings. When believers become stingy in their giving, God becomes stingy
in His blessings. God blesses the cheerful givers.
II Cor. 8 speaks of the grace of giving every true
believer should be experiencing in his Christian walk. The Apostle Paul uses
such phrases as the following: “the grace of God bestowed,”
“the abun-dance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the
riches of their liberality,” “beyond their power they were
willing of them-selves,” “but first gave their own selves to the
Lord,” “therefore as ye abound in every thing...see that ye
abound in this grace also,” “to prove the sincerity of your
love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was
rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be
rich.” If one has been pur-chased with the sacrificial blood of Jesus,
he is rich unto salvation and eternal life. The King of kings and Lord of
lords died for him!
What are you willing to do for the King of Glory and
His king-dom? Does the same grace of giving abound in you that prompted God
to give His only begotten Son? Stingy giving is evidence of a carnal,
spiritually immature, and sinful heart. “He which soweth spar-ingly
shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also
bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him
give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for GOD LOVETH A CHEERFUL
GIVER.” (II Cor. 9:6-7) As the old saying goes, tithing is for young
believers who have not yet discovered the blessed joys of giving.
Tithes and offerings are just a couple of the doors
to a blessed walk with the Father. Does the grace of giving ab-ound in you?
“PROVE THE TRUE SINCERITY OF YOUR LOVE” - GIVE CHEERFULLY BY
GRACE!!!

Quote For The
Week:
“Afflictions are light when compared with what
we really deserve. They are light when compared with the sufferings of the
Lord Jesus. But perhaps their real lightness is best seen by comparing them
with the weight of glory which is awaiting us.”
