If only one of God's sheep were to perish!

"My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish--ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand!" John 10:27-28

If only one of God's sheep were to perish . . .
  the purpose of God would be frustrated,
  the power of God would be resisted,
  the promise of God would be broken,
  the faithfulness of God would be a mockery
  and the Word of God proved to be a lie.

"I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!" Romans 8:38-39
